Have you seen the movie "Admiral?" I just watched it yesterday and I was curious what you thought if you've seen it.:hmmm:

Nope, I haven't seen it yet - I'll try to get a hold of it when I'm at my parents' next week since they have a convenient Russian movie rental nearby. It's the one about WWI/Civil War, right?

Yes. The opening fight scene is worth the price of admission:up:. Overall, I think it's a good movie, even with the love story. It was interesting to see a RUSSIAN movie about the Civil War, where the Reds are the murderous bad guys.

Oh yeah, there is a big wave of White and pre-revolutionary nostalgia in Russia over the last 10 years or so - quite a few documentaries have popped up on these topics that I've watched. I think in some cases they've definitely gone way too far in praising the White forces, but there were absolutely some real heroes on that side of the conflict.

And hey, if it starts with the Russians facing Goeben (I think it does, right?) - sign me up :salute:
