View Full Version : The best game no one made
With a bit of the spare thinking time you get with a U boat sim, sometimes I think of what would be a cool game no one made that I am aware of.
My top choice would be a simulation of a German merchant raider.
Probably a very limited market on sales, but it would be cool with a varety of changeable disguises ect.
Have the breakout and then set course for wherever.
Any of you folks ever get these thoughts?
My other thoughts generally drift to s*x.:salute:

Sax? Six? I thought he was a baseball fan, referring to the Chicago White S*x. Or the Boston Red S*x.
I'd say my life s*x, but it's not that good.

You could do this fairly easily with SHIII. No? :yep:
Change one of the Subs into an armed freighter and redo a few interiors.
Work on the deck guns a bit and you are all set.
When you finish, PM me and I'll try it:yeah:...

If you ever get a chance to read about the adventures of the SMS Emden (the first one, that was built in 1908) you will find an adventure worthy of a movie and certainly a video game... and best of all, there would be no need to embellish the story. The reality would be enough. :yeah:
Captain von Mülle's honour and the way he used the Emden as a commerce raider is one of the greatest naval warfare stories out there, in my opinion. He was an outstanding example of the honourable military professional :salute:
hmmm I think I will need to dust off Hyot now that you mentioned this. Been too long since I have read it.:yep:

Wow.. You could make a completely linear game based on the Emden, and I could be happy. What that ship did was amazing. Singlehandedly stopped shipping in an ENTIRE OCEAN.

That was in the pacific, wasnt it? I read some history on the SMS Emden when looking into the KMS Emden. I think it was there to support the western powers in China around the time of the boxer rebellion. Then when WW1 broke out he started the commerce raiding? Might have to resort to wikipedia to remember. Anyone have a book title?

Might be this book Platapus is referring to:

How to make a computer game to drink? Since I don't know anything about computer programing, more old fashioned means are needed.
Put Aces of the Deep and SH3 into same locked room and give them booze. Not SH5 as it's aminor; I don't want any legal issues here. Enough booze and SH3 will take intrest toward old and wrinkled but wise and experienced AoD.
Sounds too kinky? Just think of the offspring ;)
