I always thought people who stand that close without some barrier or darn fast legs are a bit nuts. If you watch at the one Stabiz posted a few stood there for a few seconds like nothing was happening. Then they hauled butt when it clicked in their head.

Very nasty and very lucky. That's around the back or the Brands Hatch circuit. Never been around that section of the track and having seen that video I might just give it a miss in future. :-? But as they always say on the ticket, "motorsport is dangerous".

The bloke probably became a tree hugger for life after that little close call. :DL

It is amazing that the drivers survive these racing accidents. Crikey!

Heh, credit to that guy in the OP video - as soon as the car was at rest he glanced around to see that everyone else was okay and started straight for the car. Me, I think I'd have sat down and had a strong drink instead.

Remember that guy who got decapitated by a flying F1 car? I saw that live on TV, it was awful.

It's not related to stunt driving or racing, but it is certainly not something we see every day. Happened last week on the loop.

Compilation of videos shot by locals: http://www.kcci.com/video/24270910/index.html

News Report: http://www.kcci.com/video/24276671/index.html

15-second commercials lead in to both videos. No biggie.

EDIT - The fire looks pretty horrific, but thankfully nobody was killed.
