Wow it took SH5 to return here. But alas I've almost forgotten everything. I'm having trouble targeting torpedos. Any help is needed.:)

Now there's a name I haven't seen in awhile. Welcome back!

Wow it took SH5 to return here.
I'm sorry to hear that, on more than one level.

Well, perhaps I understand why he was saying that.

Maybe he thought that SHV could someday surpass SHIII...:hmmm:

I really hope it does, but I'll need to be very patient. :damn:

Erm, OK. Thanks Steve. I haven't been playing a lot and I'm attending University so not much time on hand. I got SH5 and was a bit let down. There are some nifty improvements but targeting is getting to me. I have to get used to the new controls. I know it's early but are there any mods out there for SH5 yet? BTW it's funny to hear a North American accent spoken by the Germans.:rotfl2:

Yes! There are very many good mods out there which improves the gameplay dramatically. I wouldn't even play without mods. Today I finally got the mods working and now I don't know will I start a career in SH5 or continue my SH3 career. SH3 is superb with GWX and others mods plus it has a certain feeling. SH5 has superb graphics and with mods it is now playable and the immersion is much more better than in SH3 but SH5 misses somehow that feeling which SH3 has..

No, it is not early, and yes, we have an entire forum dedicated to mods.

Erm, OK. Thanks Steve.
I was just teasing a little.

I got SH5 and was a bit let down.
And that's why. It was just a little slam at SH5. But don't get me wrong - I'll be buying it the very minute the DRM is gone. Yes, it needs a lot of work, but it also has a lot of potential, and while I like to have my fun I do hope it will fulfill that potential, and I hope to be part of making that happen.

It's strange that it's the modding community that will make the difference in SH5. So far the mods I installed looks great, particularly the envrionmental ones. I got one crash of the game so far.

@Steve don't worry I have skin as think as a Brunswick Sardine can.:D

But one favour. Can someone recommend really great mods for SH5 you or anyone may know? There's so many now.

Officaly?, haven't heard anything of the sort. :06:
If your talking un-officaly, then as far as I know you can't play campaign - so not worth looking at.

Please be more careful with such a sentitive topic. Whatever do you mean?

Has DRM been removed and everyone is free to play offline?
Or is the DRM sever dead and no-one can play?
Or do you mean something entirely else?

In the meantime I crapped in my pants.

I just noticed that Zero-One joined in 2005 and only has this one post. How does that happen? He's been waiting all these years to make a mess of me?

I love this kind of thinking.

"I don't want to be run over and squished, but I am going to stand in front of this speeding train and not move out of the way!"

"I don't want to get shot in the head, but I am going to place this fully loaded revolver against my temple and pull the trigger!"

I don't want to fall to my death, but I am going to step out of the door of this plane, currently flying at 10,000 feet, without a parachute!"

If you know the consequences of your actions, and you don't want to accept the consequences of your actions, then why take the action ?

oh nooo what have i done...

"Please be more careful with such a sensitive topic. Whatever do you mean?"

-I know this is a sensitive topic that is why i just briefly mention it and didn't link to it or start a new thread "lolz krak is here", anyway it is new and it enables you to play the game offline but people state that is not functioning as is should, crashing the game.

"I just noticed that Zero-One joined in 2005 and only has this one post. How does that happen? He's been waiting all these years to make a mess of me?"

-I'm shy and i observe from the shadows :rotfl2:

"If you know the consequences of your actions, and you don't want to accept the consequences of your actions, then why take the action ?"
-The only reason why i mention it is to help out Sailor Steve, the game maybe filled with bugs but it is worth it, buy the game and kill the DRM which is an unholy abomination.

I don't want to ask this question because you may think I'm dumb, but I'm gonna anyway.:haha: (Sorry, couldn't help that one). Well, here goes...

If DRM saves your missions on UBI's server and not on your PC then why am I seeing the game save files on my PC?:hmmm:

The discussion is going nowhere. Personally, until I go and load the game, why post worry messages at all?

I'm off to try it.

Click on that and select " do you want to enable saved games to be stored online'' select No .

What you suggest is not new, and did not happen "a few days ago." This kind of thing has been going on for much more than a few days. Actually people have been getting in trouble for this almost since the game was released. That is why we have the rules.

The only reason why i mention it is to help out Sailor Steve, the game maybe filled with bugs but it is worth it, buy the game and kill the DRM which is an unholy abomination.
Ever hear the phrase "two wrongs don't make a right"? Your kind of "help" I don't need.

You shouldn't let it bother you....it was not of your making.

Sadly, these things happen from time to time.
