Dear Friend,
Good day and compliments, i know this letter will definitely
come to you as a huge surprise,I am Capt. John Mayor, a US
Marine, serving in the 3rd Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment
which Patrols the Anbar province, Iraq.

I am desperately in need of assistance and I have summoned up
courage to contact you. I am presently in Iraq and I found
your contact particulars in an address journal. I am seeking
your assistance to evacuate the sum of $10,570,000 (Ten million
Five Hundred and Seventy Thousand USD) to the States or any safe
country, as far as I can be assured that it will be safe in your
care until I complete my service here.

This is no stolen money and there are no dangers involved.

His duty station is "IRAQ"!? He bothered to do the research to find a marine unit but didn't bother to find out whether it was in-theatre or what the various AO's are? The only thing that could possibly be more stupid is the people who buy this junk. Holy....stuff.

Have to admit that is a good one and will probably bag quite a few people. Sorry to see people do fall for these scams. Can you forward his email to me so I may respond?

I actually got one last year that claimed to be from here in the US...from the FBI! "Help us stop these scams and we'll give you a piece of the action", or something like that.

LOL...obviously many soldiers are out there with sums of money in the region of $10,570,000 (Ten million Five Hundred and Seventy Thousand USD)...and none of it stolen.
