Yeah I bought the packet (both ps+psa) when it was on 75% discount list :yeah: (edit: in fact I end up buying two to play on my network - me vs my kid - giving him a crash introduction to RTS)

I pretty much enjoying it  playing it for last 3 weeks non stop. A mix of RTS and limited flight/sub/navy sim and the graphs aren't bad (adding a mod for graphs effects then are even better).

The only shenanigan is when the number of units get high the game gets slower and slower. This is one thing that may not give any favours to the game but if the box is fast then its acceptable even during combat.

what I like most is to fly the bombers towards the targets and see all the anti-aircraft blasts all around or cutting parts wings/damage engines.

it has been well thought game, where guns/radars/engines/hulls are individual and can get damaged, disabling a plane/boat/PT/sub instead of destroying it.

The AI isn't that bad either and actually it kicked my ass couple times conquering my bases and destroying my fleets, still couldn't break it yet.

So as overall old game it is quite nice an sure will take long hours play, the fact that all action is played in the Pacific as RTS and different locations means that once the war is declared is jumping from a battle to other battle in different place.

I wish to see more games like this one on the market...

It's a classic example of a game trying to be everything and not really being a master of anything. That being said, I appreciate its ambition and attention to detail. It used to be unplayable but after god knows how many patches it's finally in a state where you can avoid frequent CTDs.

It sounds like CDV has also stopped developing the IP. Geez, this week alone I found out their is no chance of sequels to Battlestations, Chromehounds, and Pacific Storm. Good and bad, since all those games had serious problems, but god damnet they were different.
