Only thing I know about it is pepole complaining that the casting was racisist seeing as the main charecters were asian and native american and white pepole were cast.

The majority of reviews & comments over at IMDB are pretty negative.

The cartoon series is surprisingly good, even though it's made for a younger audience. It's a lot of material to cram into a 2-3 hour movie though.

That alone would be enough for me to avoid it...probably :yep:

I took my kids to see it. The movie only takes you through "book 1" according to my kids. Anyhow I thought it was a passable attempt at movie making. The movie certainly isn't all action, and you really needed to have watched the cartoon series to understand the plot fully. My children filled me in on all the back story in the car-ride home afterward.

It is worth a see if you are fan of the series.

My daughters watched it yesterday. Said it did not follow the original series that closely. The original essence of the TV version was just not there. Many names of the characters mispronounced. They did say the CG images were done very well. In short, save your money. :03:
