Yuck! There's not much left of her I imagine! :o
Idiots who kill themselves should have the decency not to endanger other people. Had she hit a car, she could very well have killed a few people.
Maybe the press should agree to report such attempts as murder-suicides.
"Today a woman attempted to murder 50 bus passengers, but was herself killed."
Might change suicidal behavior a little since if they really wanted a murder-suicide (very rare) they'd do so.

I very much doubt that it would change anything. If you're contemplating doing that to yourself, then you're not really thinking of the consequences of what might happen to others along the way. Pretty desperate place if you ask me.

Perhaps she did not think enough to feel the driver's reaction before she decided to die in such a manner. How awful a burden to place upon another person.

She is lucky the bus came when it did. Trying to commit suicide by jumping 25 feet is a good way to stay alive but crippled.
But I agree. Suicide should be a private event.

In this case the bus was empty except for the driver (as said in the article) but I get your point. Makes sense I guess...
But the true tragedy here is, I believe, that a woman felt she needed to commit suicide in the first place. Poor girl...

Sorry for your loss, mate.

I'm sure the jumper never considered how many people might have been killed. Kids that drop rocks off overpasses don't think they'll kill, either, but it happens every year someplace.

I was driving, with my sister and her's daughter on a main arterial road, when least four kids drops rocks off overpasses, the stone's hit, bonnet and destroy windscreen,I could avoid problem, luckily but if the driver was less experience it could be consequence, but we get no injured :yep: btw this was little shaky, after a while the police catch one of the kids, and he told them, I do it just for fun

That sounds like an evil kid. I take it he was arrested and handed off to the juvenile authorities!?

That happened once near where I live. Some kids tossed a brick from an over pass and hit a car. Put the driver in the hospital (nearly killed her, she had severe head trauma). They never found the kid(s).
Practicing at the local fire department, last week we got a call about a 14 year old girl being hit by a train not so far away, we went there and had to clean up, took 3 hours, just to say i have lost all interest in being a fireman, this will haunt me forever.
and i think when you really are down, and really want to take your own lifeyoudont think about what the other people might feel, the train driver wich hit this girl was just a aprentice, and it was his 2nd SUicide victim.
