Force H Question

in mare norstrum, Force H macro, do have to sink it in the designated area (the circle with FORCE H in the middle) or can it be like say nearer to gibraltar

I think in the circle, but I remember sinking a Force A BB ouside of the Force A perimeter so I maybe it doesn't matter.

I just sunk a battleship outside the designated area for Force H and it counted But I was only out of the area 10 or 15Km
