One of the missions in the Battle of the Mediterranean is called "Rommel's Supplies". It requires that 500,000 tons of shipping gets through to supply the Afrika Korps. Problem is that there is no indication what the player is supposed to do to achieve this goal.
I've already posted this on the main SH5 forum but have gotten no answer. A search of that forum and this also reveals nothing about this mission. Has anyone completed the Battle of the Med campaign? If so, were you able to satisfy this mission and, if so, how?

I haven't played SH5, so I can't help with your question. But I can say
WELCOME ABOARD! :sunny:
There's one or two post floating around about the Med campaigns.
I played it once and found that I could not finsh it.
1/ I have no idea what is suppposed to be accomplished by Rommels' Supplies - I may have not been in the Campaign long enough to find targets relevant to this.
2/ Lots of Kents and Didos, alway colliding with their escorts.
3/ Didm't see any major Merchant activity. Probably no Pedestals until August ?
4/ Boring.

Bernard. Good to se you are still alive after incident.
The Battle for North Africa is not over yet.
The British are resisting our offensive towards Egypt's oil fields, and despite our continuous bombardments, Malta refuses to go down.
In addition, British forces stationed on the island continue to disrupt Italian efforts to supply Axis forces in North Africa.
It will be up to us to correct this situation.
For that, the 29th Flotilla becomes a permanent combat flotilla based in La Spezia.
The key to this campaign lies in supplying Rommel through the Libyan harbors.
First, we must eliminate Malta by destroying all supply convoys delivering fuel for British aircraft and submarines.
As long as we keep the RAF fighters on the ground, the Luftwaffe will do the rest.
Be aware that the British have reinforced their fleets in Gibraltar and Alexandria.
They are now protecting their convoys with battleships and aircraft carriers.
We, on the other hand, are dependant on the Italian Regia Marina, which at this point is not a very effective fighting force.
Yet if we tip the balance of forces in their favor, and if some of those British battleships were out of the picture, I bet our Italians friends would be much more aggressive.
Now be on your way. We are counting on you Bernard.
I have had same trouble. But I have just read that it doesn't matter. Just complete all other missions and this will also be complete. I'm going to try that.

Has anyone finished this? History tells us no u-boat has returned from this campaign. Is it possible?

YES (twice) and...yes it is possible: the toughy for me was the two battleships in the eastern med...listen to your radio messages for that. For the Rommel supplies stay stringently on the E/W arc line between Alexandria and Tobruk Keep up the sonar man's moral (he's a wimp!)and insight skills with special meals and ask him for extra assistance.:03: Sneak into Gibraltar if possible and wreak havoc. Caught a carrier coming into harbor once as I was departing. The Malta-bound carrier quota (2) from Gibraltar can be can be frustrating-not all carriers count. Use the North African side ports for resupply (Caution: some of those switch sides) and ignore calls to return to base for time consuming refits unless damaged. Good hunting!
