1.) Is there any mod that came simulate mechanical or electrical failure on my sub??
--- i.e. you run down from inevitable air attack, but bad luck, you can surfacing cuz your main pump is somehow out of action (without damage from DCs)

2.) What's the function of U-boot's medic? I have not seen any of his actions during my whole career.

3.) What's function of radio direction finder??? Few of you guys post some screenshots with this thing raised up, but looks like that in vanilla SH3 this is just a decor on subs conning tower, or.....:hmmm::hmmm::06::06:

4.) Its not a question... Ist a joke that I heard from my frend (I think its bad joke:hmmm:). Why Kriegmarine did not have chance to win in naval warefare???
Because Chuck Norris wastoo youg to take U-boot command:D:D

For question 1-download SH III Commander and if you are using GWX 3 download the Commander file for it also.
Question 2-rarely you will get a wounded guy and the medic helps with recovery time. It is rare for wounded, in my case, so I use him as my gun captain and sometimes watch duties.
Question 3-as far as I can tell-it is nice eye candy. I have not found a function for it as yet, except maybe it helps with map contacts if you play that way.
Joke-:DL
I am sure others can fill in the details if I have missed anything.
Good hunting.

To expand on Rconch's response to #1: if you use SH3 Commander there is in option in it under Gameplay Settings called "Model effects" and if you check it you can choose from either Malfunctions or Malfunctions+Sabotage. Which means it will add to the game the possibility that your uboat may experience the effects of one or both depending on your choice. If you check this option, it's advisable to do thorough testing of all systems as soon as possible after you leave port on a patrol to make sure everything works properly before you are far from home and/or in a combat situation.

It may be possible to mod in those effects without the use of Commander, but someone will else will have to speak to that. Commander is so great, though, that you are missing out on a LOT if you don't try it.

Regarding the medic, in order for him to work any medical magic on another crewman, they both need to be placed in either the stern or bow quarters together.

Be advised that, as Frau Kaleun said, you need to run regular checks for malfunctions because the game will not tell you that something is wrong. You will find out for yourself. Better to do so in a routine check than when in combat.

And no, the game cannont be made to do it without Commander, because it is based off of Commander's 'Random' function.
