Anyone ever seen other subs join in a fight?

I've been tailing this carrier group around forever picking off a destroyer here and there until i can get close enough and its taking forever to keep up and try and get into position for a kill... I keep thinking to myself how cool it would be to be able to get radio contact updates about the location of other ships and or subs in the area.. maybe help herd a carrier group or lure them into a trap.. It could make this game sooo much more. Supposedly I read earlier that it is possible for other friendly subs to show up and help in a wolfpack - has anyone actually seen this?

Also - I've completed the 3 missions and I've got like 6 months to go!! It just keeps giving me the same mission. Is this a bug? It shows all the iron crosses filled in but it says deadline june 1st, but its like Jan... What do I do? Just keep sinking stuff for 6 months??

Yep...keep sinking stuff until a new set of missions offered (Operation Wesserbung? is next).
