View Full Version : full screen / windowed - I want to decide!
I have SHIII / GW3 set up as two versions, normal GW3 and GW3 with the S-Boot mod as a relaxer. I also have two versions of 'straight' SHIII, one normal and the other using the uberboot mod again as a relaxer/ arcade game - nothing like sinking destroyers using 2 big guns!. All run using SHIII commander.
However some odd keeps happening with them.
Taking the normal GW3 as an example. My monitor display is set to 1600 x 1200. When starting SHIII commander, it displays as a window but when SHIII kicks in, that displays as full screen. Exactly as I want it.
Without adding or changing mods, it suddenly changed and SHIII now comes up as a window with 1024 x 768 showing on the title bar. I can't get to revert back. The same thing happened with the vanilla/uberboot version. The other two still run as full screen.
:down::hmmm:
Any body got any ideas?

I have a duel winXP/win7 system and when I first ran SH3 on win7 the game only started in a window and I spent a week trying to make it full screen. The problem I think was caused by installling the ATI drivers before a variety of win7 fixes were downloaded. Once I uninstalled and reinstalled the ATI drivers (10.5) I now get fullscreen but I've lost the windowed mode!
I had an idea to see if I could get a duel window env running by starting two windowed instances, the forums mention adding -w or -window to the command line but neither seem to work. It obviously possible from my previous expereince so I'll just keep on looking around. I'll have a play with the ATI 10.5 and 10.6 drivers to see if I can reproduce the window mode.

Out there to change the screen/High-Res,is this what you want?
Have you use resfix?
There is a d3d9.cfg file maybe there is a parameter which enable windowed mode.
