Ahoy! First thanks for all those who answered my first thread - :salute:

Can you tell me what the medals do for my crew members I pick?

I never thought about it. Maybe it has something to do with renown? I just assumed it was eye candy, and good for captain's morale (I usually get purple hearts after having been KIA.) A fundamental, but very interesting question!

They don't seem to do anything. Unlike a promotion, there's no boost in efficiency, I've never noticed a morale change, or anything else.

Aye, they're just our own little version of Pokemon to have fun with. You know.. "gotta catch them all"..

Yes - when I got them i was giving one to fore torps, one for engineering and one for command - hoping these medaled crew members would have a decent stat boost :(

I just role play with medals. What ever department was the most crucial and used effectively on the patrol. :) Like if it was the watchmen, the engineers, perhaps the torpedo room. Or if the deck gun was used a lot.
