I saw a full 40 min-documentary about them two weeks ago. Fascinating. They are really only a handful of people, and they work in full "manual" mode, and every wooden nail and every roof tile they create themselves - without any machinery or modern day tools.

Wow. Very interesting project, i'd love to work on that. What was the name of the documentary?

Don't remember, I missed the first 5 minutes anyway. I think it was on broadcasted on ARTE, but I am not absolutely sure. I seem to remember that it was produced by either a British or a French team.

What is really amazing is that alot of it was done by one man alone with no cranes or other mechanized heavy machinery.

This company in the US builds stone castles. If I win the lottery - I am employing them.
