Hi
How to make a hole in the subnet (cut it up) and clean up a passage in a minefield e.g. (cut the wire on the mine)???

A subnet cannot be bypassed in any way.
As for mines...:woot:

Usually you can run underneath both of them. The wires of the mines are harmless.
Shallow waters may put a stop to this approach very fast, though.
At 1-3 knots submerged one can try to pass through a minefield unharmed. Just up your scope a bit to look what's in front of you the whole bloody time, pray, let it be a sunny day to have a clear view, pray again, and use your rudder and depth controls. Oh, and pray a bit more on the way. For me, mumbling the words "we're not here, you don't see us, be a nice little mine and have a nap now" all the way sure helped. I like to think they heard me on a subconscious level. ;)
Some minefields however do have a clear passage somewhere, as they consist of multiple smaller minefield layers. To find it, do the same, just go around the field looking inwards until you run across a bigger clear spot in it.
A buddy of mine made a training mission for us using that placement style once. As he told me of it later on, I almost fired at his boat, since I did not even care to look for a clear way and headed straight through the field before asking him why he used such an unusually long way through it. ("Because it was clear of mines, what did you do all the way over there?") :haha:

I agree. I have only had one experience with a net. I tried to free my boat for 45 minutes and even used the cam to see if i could observe a good angle to disengage the boat. Nothing worked. Game over.

Would be cool to have harbor traffic that goes trough a/s net gates. Either that or a functional X-Craft with frogmen cutters.

You do not make holes in mine fields.
Mine fields make holes in you.

I found with mines, most are at the same depth in the same location. Mod's differ, but most are set to get you at scope depth or at about 160 ft. As long as I run near the bottom where mines are, never a problem.
One place is very dangerous and a large minefield playing TMORSRD, north end strait at Formosa, almost directly north of the Island than the strait.
The water is shallow, nothing worse than having DD's and planes dumping charges on you why running around in a mine field.

Would be cool to have harbor traffic that goes trough a/s net gates.I tried that, even using tug boats as gate entrance markers, but you'll have to leave it open SO wide for traffic to pass through, I just kept the two standing guards and removed the traffic.
Smart skipper will figure, I thought. And indeed they did. I made going into that subnetted (friendly) harbor a mission objective and they got it right.
Was fun.. even more so when that dive bomber squadrons showed up, blowing everything to bits around them as they had to get out of that shallow waters again to survive :har:

Sounds fun! Care to share the mission?
Anyway I would've put three pairs of tug boats, two of them with mines in between :)

I've gone over a sub net before in an S-Boat by surfacing.
