Almost pulled the trigger to get Left for Dead 2 yesterday as it was like 11 or 12 bucks. Account issue prevented that BAH!! :damn:
Today tho I snagged EVE online for 2 bucks. Now that I have had to return the friends account it will be a way for me to dual fly again.
Anyone else grab some goodies?

Still have to pay $15 a month afterwards. Though EVE is one of the games that is actually worth it...

Really? I can't stand EVE myself. Found it mind numbingly dull watching the ship fly itself and mine.

So hows EVE for a complete nub? I would sure like to know!

The game itself is slow, especially when starting out, but it makes up for it with depth that really isn't found in most other MMOs.
The main awesome thing about EVE is, though it isn't really apparent when you start playing, that the game's world is shaped by the players' actions. What players do in EVE actually effects the territory in the game, most of the market economy and pretty much everything else in the game, while in most other MMOs players just grind run the pre-set quests and instances.
I want to snag pacific storm, but low on money. :-?
I'm also still mad at steam for making me re-download a 7gb game for a 1.5MB patch...

I'm looking at snagging the 2k Pack for Borderlands(and expansions) and the last expansion for Company of Heroes. I'm also looking at the Telltales Pack for all of the Sam&Max games.

I quite liked Eve when i played it couple years back but i was confused as hell at the gameplay im sure i was still in training area before i gave up - I completed some missions then had to go mine that's when it failed for me, the distance between you and any other player made me feel i was the only one in the universe also /wave or /dance doesn't work in this game :D Still I might give it another go

All of Introversion's games for $5 is also looking mighty promising...

I agree that EVE has depth, but the amount of grinding required to see it is astonishing even by MMO standards.

This hurt me. About a week ago I bought Darwinia, Uplink, and Defcon for 24.98. :wah:

Wish I could get that now. Played the first 2 seasons of Sam & Max and they were great (Of course, Sam & Max might be my favourite characters ever, so I'm biased), but haven't played any of the 3rd season yet.
How good are their other games?

At least the grind isn't the make your character better since it does that by itself over time.

Eh I am a pilot, I don't like watching the ship fly itself and telling it what to do once in a while. The game felt more like work then fun. Now if the game was more like X3 then maybe I might be more interested.
I bought Operation Flashpoint DR for 4.20 €.
Not as good as the original but for that price I´m not gonna complain :O:
Introversion Complete Pack. What a steal. $5 for 4 games I already wanted. Gotta love it.

Now to completely obliterate the world with nuclear weapons...again...

Don't get pacific storm on Steam. Because of the way things have happened behind closed doors somehow someone forgot to authorize steam to get the last patch. Which adds a VERY important fix that enables multithreading. Which is critical I hear if you want to play anything bigger than the smallest battles.
About EVE online.
If you have not done so yet and can spare the bandwidth for the download. Give the 14 day trial a shot. See if its your cup of tea. If it is not don't play it further. The game is ALL about long term.
The best part about it for me is the ability to purchase ingame "plex" items that add 30 days to your account. Rich people buy them and sell them in game so its a legal way to get gametime and fully supported by CCP. As a result of doing this MANY players came back.

The game is great imo though many would attack this :D.
I was a very bad dog on this sale:
Europa Universalis III
Left4Dead2
Serious Sam HD parts 1 and 2
Overlord, expansion and Overlord 2
Max Payne
Tropico 3 expansion
Eve
Ironclads: ACW and Ironclads: High Seas
Birth of America
Mount and Blade Warband
That's more games than I have bought in the last 3 years! :o

Well if you could of found me somewhere to get pacific storm for 3 dollars (with no shipping) that wasn't steam then I'd probably go for it, at this point in my life Cheapness is priority.

Grind is grind, and EVE is the biggest grindfest I've ever played (by quite a big margin).
To fly ship A you need skills X,Y,Z (and their prerequisites) which means playing the game (or at least paying your subscription) for a certain number of months (or years, if it's a big ship). Doesn't matter what you do in the meantime or how you do it; the minimum amount of time that has to go by before you can do something interesting is huge.

Not to mention after about a week or two (if you have planned out your training and kept on top of it) you will need some very expensive skills, so yes techincally you can "grind levels" while offline, but you will have to spend alot of time online grinding money to afford the skills and the equipment/ships to make use of the skills.
