Let us know about how you are going with that game, Kiwi. HoI never caught me, somehow I simply hate the interface, and WiF gets delayed and delayed and still takes some more time. I would be interested to learn how this find of yours meets the competition.

Yea i think so, im not going to do it through them or steam, I just added that link for the preview they had. Steam will have it up in a few days according to the 'Making history' site. Emailed the gaming store we have here to ask if they can get the boxed version.
From what ive been reading on the sites blogs the game is still quite buggy, pc's that pass the recommended specs still get lagg problems, some with missing or wrong flags for nations, ctd, over the top food demand even when you have advanced food production your still be trying to keep up. Devs have patched to 1.06 so far and at least they are listening to the feedback.
I'm wondering if i should just order 'Making History 1 - The calm and the storm Gold edition' and just play that till II is stable enough.

If I cannot burn it as a hard copy to CD and later can reinstall it without depending on internet a la UBI, then this title already is history for me. Too bad. That their site does not give solid hard informative info about the Impulse procedure, and just leaves it to tell people how great and fantastic Impulse is, is suspicious.

This game is crap, no wait maybe im just crap at playing these games :haha: Think i'll just wait for Civilization V at least I know how to play that.
As for these Grand Strategies games I have lost the battle to master them. I failed. :88)

Impulse is a Steam clone, but you don't need a connection to play the games.

You don't really need a connection with Steam to play either.

Making History II is an ok game. as long as you are into alternate history. Things can get really weird in that game...which I guess is why they call it "Making History" (England is at war with China,Egypt and Greece in my game...and they are AI controlled...lol).
I think my favorite strategy game at the moment is Commander:Europe at War Gold, from Matrix Games. That one is alot of fun. The only downside is that the manual is in pdf form.
