Nature does some strange things. Blue crab scuff out also but the soft shell blue crab is a delicacy.

I agree. I think it is a beautiful thing. Nothing in nature is scary.

Well at 2000-3000 feet deep, I think seeing one of these 1 foot long creatures would be the least of your problems. :D
