Thats fine but its the condesing belittlement by the Senator as if she was somehow superior to the man. Looking down her nose at him as if he was some sort of peon.

In my mind the man is far superior to her. He had to work a hell of a lot harder to get where he is than she did.

Besides if she did call him Colonel it would be a mistake. The man is a Brig. General.

But yea hopefully Boxers days are numbered.

Yes this was during the first few days of the Obama Administration when the libs were full of piss and vinigar.

I cant even remember why the General was being questioned.

IIRC, "ma'am" is considered to be the respectful way for a servicemember to refer to a woman. At least according to my dad (retired commander), maybe someone here can correct me if I'm remembering wrong... :hmmm:

The whole thing is kind of silly actually but it points out the aloofness of the "higher beings" that is (allegedly) the US goverment. Far removed from reality and everyday life.

Yes 'mam' was a respectfull address but evidently not respectfull enough for Ms. Boxer.

The title which appears on the card in front of him reports the proper rank and name.
