TF/Convoy air patrols

I'm still running TMO 1.9 with RSRD and out on my first extended patrol, went back to Manila for torps and fuel, up around the Luzon area. I keep getting allot of flying thingies that I am guessing are from light cruisers that escort the invasion force convoys. Would this be a correct guess? If so I should be able to plot his course and track it down.

Side question about Japanese crews. When using the external camera, I like the eye candy and use it with restraint, I have noticed different types of crew on the same class of ships. Some crews appear a bit lax and the ship is not as well maintained as the ones with crews in dress type uniforms, those ships appear well maintained. Would this be in conjunction with there discipline level or skill level of the crew?

I've tried going in the direction of aircraft that match the ship, like the bi planes on CA's, ect, but never noticed that they really head to the ship.

You must be talking about the men in black suits and red ties...never noticed, but wouldn't think they effect anything..I'll pay more attention.

I don't think planes usually "launch" from anywhere. They seem to come from all directions then you're guaranteed to see them come back on the exact opposite flight path they came at a few minutes later.
