Somewhat new to sub-simming having played with SH3 for a short time.

A long time ago during the Cold War I used to hunt Russian subs for the Navy. I have ever since had a keen interest in subs and the brave folks who inhabit them.

I bought SH5 this week fully knowing it was seriously flawed. With help from the modding community I believe most of it's shortcomings will eventually be overcome despite Ubisoft's underwhelming patching prowess.

Over time, I look forward to reading and learning from the forums on Subsim, my newest favorite site.

Hi all.

I am also new on this board and decided to "misuse" this thread for my introduction...

I am a "hardcore" simulation games fan who has unfortunately just too little time to get into it really deep. But I try and I try and I try...

Personally I feel addicted to the ocean and started my "maritime career" with an inflatable (my first command :DL ). I went on with sailing (and try to do it as often as possible nowadays) and finally ended up serving in my country's navy as a conscript.
