Got new PC waiting at home, much better than current p4 2.66, 1.5 RAM, ATI X800XL, so tonight is going to be multi-install of SH3 1.4b, GWX, and many, many more mods I've been waiting to be able to use.
So thanks again to all that have contributed to either my forthcoming enjoyment or to my frustration of CTDs!

Ha I made a gaming computer which was pretty much made for crysis 2.
It has a 1024 MB Graphics card.
I made it for about 500 dollars, and so my new official tally on spending stuff for this game is around 760 dollars.

Haven't had a proper go yet, have some wireless issues, currently installing GWX3, but I'd just tried the vanilla version (and no DVD, so not quite vanilla) and the loading time was much less than a minute.
This is like getting a floppy drive after using tapes!!!!

does sh3 and gwx work better on a ass-raping computer then a normal one? (eg load times)

Nice choice of words there, but anyway, the answer is mostly a yes although stuff like load times seems to relate directly to the amount of system ram you have, cpu speed./ gfx card etc has little bearing, i recall switching from 512Mb to 3Gb and the loads went from 10-15min to ~2min.

Oh yes, old sys couldn't handle 16km and load times were about 12 mins depending on mods enabled. Had 1.5 Gig, now got 4. Still, it's been a long time coming - and this'll have to last now.
