Lol, submarine tank at 1:40, and it has hydraulics!

Cool. Can they make it dance around on the hydros? :yeah:

You mean South Korean tank, at least according to the video title when i manged to get it loaded.

I'll bet it's probably made by Daewoo, that company makes everything over there. If what i saw of Korean craftsmanship holds true, I'll also bet those tanks will fold quickly if the excrement ever hits air rotary circulation device.

That's definitely a South Korean tank and NOT North Korea. It's the K2. Its gun is substantially more powerful than Japan's MBT.

Don't know how the armor is going to hold in tank vs tank combat though.

well, when the tank crew feels threatened it just dives. like a sub.

cool implications on the tilt hydraulics.

could make some difficult shots easier

lol it was an honest mistake it's alright :D. I doubt North Korea has even T-90 or T-80. At most they might have T-72 which I even doubt. I think they have mostly T-62 or T-55 perhaps now extensively modified and reinforced with ERA tiles.

Well even the T72 could cross a riverbed given its snorkeling equipment is installed first. :yep:

Umm yea that's nothing new though the Swedish Strv-103 turretless tank had something like that too as well as Japanese's Mitsubishi tank(don't know what that tank's called).

Speaking of North Korea and Submarines, a neat video of the DPRK's Sang O (Shark) class submarine:

Those hydraulics would make it pain in butt when it's in a hull down position ,just pop up before a shot then drop ,would make it easier to shift positions to ,if the hole's a dug right by the engineers you could pull back and change positions with a lot less chance of being spotted.

Very nice video TF, good find that man! :yeah:

Some interesting features there, namely that suspension, clever little idea that, darius makes a good point in that it would help a tank in a hull down position, although as with all good ideas, I do ponder how easy to maintain it is. After all, it's all well and good building a tank with pimped out features but if it has the reliability rate of the early Tiger II then it'll only be useful as a wall.
I like the submarine feature too, it's not the first tank to do that, IIRC I've seen at least one other tank display those characteristics, however it's the deepest I've seen one go. Sod being in that should it develop a leak...

Reliability of the tiger, if it has that then It will break just getting to the front.

I think it is a cool tank. Admittedly it is cool when the tanks hydraulic system let the tank squat down.

The Leopards can do the same.

There are a few pics of that here:http://88362.forum.onetwomax.de/topic=101570408525

Aren't all modern tanks with NBC protection capable of that, I man to provide that protection they have to be air tight with exception to their air filtration system?

krashkart
06-10-10, 01:10 PM
I would think so, antikristuseke. Can't imagine any military fielding a drafty modern tank, but I could be wrong. :hmmm:

IIRC the T-72, T-80 and T-90 can go underwater to a point as well.

EDIT: Well, probably the T-64 too, but I don't know for sure.

But in the T-64's case, only as far behind enemy lines as the tank factory technicians can walk to fix it...

The T-64 in front has the ammunition and chains, the second T-64 will follow. When the first T-64 breaks down, the second T-64 will take the ammunition and tow it. :hmmm:

Not if the word also starts with a, an is used in that case: an ambulance, an avocado, etc. Same goes for e, an error, an exit. Also other vowels.
