View Full Version : Injured Crew

Some of my guys on the boat got injured a while ago, in game time probably about 6 months back, and they still are.
Namely its my Lieutenant, he's been injured for ages now and its really annoying me because as a resut I can't call silent running or battle stations, he just says "cannot comply". I dont really understand how he can talk to me about his views on the war but not shout "battle stations", maybe he has selective muteness if such a thing exists.
Im guessing this is probably a well-known bug, unless the game is simulating he has actually got a broken face and it will take another year in game time to heal?
Any ideas on what I can do?
Thanks

This is a new one on me. I've had them injured for a few hours and not been able to go to silent running etc (which is a real PITA - what were they thinking?) but for me they've always healed.
You have downloaded the new patch?
Just wondering if you are encountering the moral bug that patch 1.2 fixed.

Yeah I patched it the first time it ran so should of all been ok, I havent noticed any morale issues at all so this may well be a new bug.
He was injured towards the beginning of the Total Germany campaign and I have now advanced to 'Happy Days', the next one, and he is still injured

Wow! I thought it only stayed injured during a patrol? Might look into editing the save game file to fix him?

Oh that would be so useful!
Are there any precautions I need to make when I edit it, I'll probably just backup the original incase something goes wrong?
Whereabouts is the folder? In the Ubisoft directory theres only a folder called 'game launcher', unless that is actually the game itself...
EDIT: Sorry I have found the saved game files, how do I know which one is my most recent though, I know what I saved it as but is there anyway to find the name of the save from these files, is it in any particular .cfg file at all?
EDIT2: Im being silly, I've found it by looknig at the 'date modified' column and looking for todays, now to work out which one is the autosave and which one is mine.
EDIT3: Is it even possible to edit the states of the crew? I can't find anything about them here.

To bad though that they cannot die. However since we dont have custom crew managment we have only one officer for one slot.

hey i know this an old thread but did you find any solution to this as my first officer has been injured for the last 2 patrols now totalling like over a month and it's bad when i ambush a convoy and the destroyers get my engine noises and bomb me lol
