FPS improvement that works for me

Ok my laptop is pretty poor for new games, half life 2 runs at 60 but SH5 only gets 20- 23 fps outside and around 15 -18 inside.
Laptop is a athlon m300 dual core, 3 gb ram, HD4200 256mb dedicated running windows 7 64.
As you can see not exactly a gaming rig!
Anyway right click on SH5 exe and in compatibility tab tick disable desktop composition. This disables Aero while the game is running and gave me a solid 5-8 fps increase.

Thanks for the info. I suggest you make an entry into the vista/windows7 threads in the SH3-4-5 forums with the tip.
