View Full Version : Attack Periscope.. can't turn it anymore..

Since today, I am unable to turn the pericope. I can raise and lower it, but I cant turn it to left or the right. Neither, cursor keys or mouse work anymore with it. Oddly enough, UZO and observation periscope still works properly. :shifty:

Anyone ever encountered this and know how to fix this?

As for mods, the only thing that I tried ( installed and de-installed) is Fubars IXB splint camo earlier this morning.

Are you currently on patrol in a career with SH3Commander when it happened?

Maybe it is a malfunction if you have that enabled via Commander.

That's what I thought at first, too.. So I loaded a a single mission to see if this was the case... It is not.. :haha:.. Damn thing doesnt work anymore.

Mhm.. haven't tried it on a different type yet.... gonna do that next, I guess.

This happened to me for a few patrols:nope:

I found it had to do with OLC and New interiors clashing with some other mods I added (For me anyway) So I added a fix I found In LRT and it Fixed it as well as bringing zoom back to the scopes:)

So what other mods are you using?

The periscope is broken on all boats.. :shifty:

As far as mods go..
besides GWX I got:
LifeBoats&Debris_v4
Seabed Repair Mod
Combat Radio Frequency
GWX2 - No RING RING by Melendir
Water_Stream_for_Uboats_V4

As I said, It worked fine yesterday.. hehe
After I installed the Type IXB Splint camo mod, it stopped working. Still not working after I de-installed/disabled it.

I think I would remove all activated mods then just add them back, since you say it was essentially random it should bring you back to normal

I tried that and it didn't fix.. :shifty:

Going to reinstall, I guess. Hope I wont loose my careers.. again. :nope:

Make sure you copy your SH3 folder in My Documents to a safe place then copy it back into My Documents once you've reinstalled.

Good luck if it comes down to a reinstall - they're a major PITA.

But fortunately it kinda fixed itself.. :hmmm:

I uninstalled all mods, enabled them one after another last night and that didn't fix it. Did it again today, just to make sure.. and... all is fine again.. :woot:
