I had just finished painstakingly sneaking into Gibraltar for some juicy hunting. Well, there wasn't anything juicy but there were quite a few fair targets anyway. Anyway, after a bit I get a "capital ship" proximity alert and raise my scope to see a carrier escorted by about six other warships bearing down on me at medium range. So, I lower my scope and begin a turn to line up for a good spread shot. Raise my scope and bloody hell - there is nothing there - not even a single destroyer. :damn:

End of voyage way point, when ships reach there final way point they go "poof!" It has been around since SHIII & IV. That's why I never camp near a harbor.

That makes sense Takao, I mean after a flawed loose end in the game fashion. I guess I either need to sink what I find anchored there or get out in the channel leading in before trying to peg a task force. The big disappointment was that it was the first capitol ship I had a real shot at after three "game years", the other being a heavy cruiser or battleship that was at a great distance and moving too fast to hit. That carrier was only 800-900 meters away and would have been ripe for a salvo.

Let it gooooo...let it goooo.... :nope:

:shifty:

Back to the hunt :)
