Hi all

I bought SH5 & AC2 at the same time but due to the problems with SH I played AC2 first.

I did however load up SH to have a look and played the first part (tutorial) but then stopped, but never removed the game from my machine. I've now finished AC2 and downloaded the 1.2 patch for SH installed it and now when I run the game I clicked on "New campaign", left the default name the loading screen appeared, after a little while it when black I hear a clicking noise and then a message pops up saying that SH has stopped working.

I have no idea why this is happening now. I've even tried uninstalling the game and starting from scratch, but had no look. No MODs are used either.

Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening.

Cheers
H

Everything you just explained was normal right up until the crash to desktop. You should have a black screen, then a clicking noise, and then the game should become visible. Since it is crashing right when the game should render, it makes me think it is a graphics conflict. What graphics card are you running? Try this for starters, when you get to the menu screen, go into options, and lower the resolution and refresh rate, then try to start a game.

Edit: lol, well I suppose never mind then. Cheers

Also i notice that if i lose connection with the internet and the game saves and then you leave the game , when i restart after reconnecting and load my normal save the game goes back to desktop . I then have to start the game with the non connection save and then overwrite my normal save with the non connection save . This is bull**** .
