Well, not so much an actual Christmas Tree, but I remember in SH4 in the Control Room that there was a functionning status board that told you if you were rigged for dive or not (well really it just switched to green when you ordered a dive..)
However, when I took a look throughout the Con Room and Conning Tower, I could not find this status board (if its there it's not lit..)

I was looking for this the other day as well. I guess its yet another thing that did not make it into the game.

I think they're there.. they're just not lit up.
For example. climb down to the conning tower, go behind the ladder, and on the attack periscope housing there is a box with 10 sets of circles (5x2) Incidentally, there is 5 compartments (if you count electrical and diesel together..)

I was thinking the same thing. You can see it from the ladder, but have to walk around to read it. German anyone?

Dear internet, Despite both movies being typical "American" action movies and not following history to the letter, i found both "U-571" and "Pearl Harbor" to be enjoyable period pieces, and i would watch them again in the future.
Proceed with the flaming.
