View Full Version : Fresh install...wont update?

Hi...was having a few problems with mods so i desided to do a fresh install.
But now the game will not update to 1.2.

any body have this before? and know the fix?

I cant remember the exact name or folder, but I think that in the support folder, you can find a GUUpdater.exe something like that. Run that ans it will update

Are you sure that when you installed it, that you registered the copy online. Every time you install or reinstall the game, you have to do it again.

cheers...fixed it....had to use the updater in the main SH5 folder.

Are you sure that when you installed it, that you registered the copy online. Every time you install or reinstall the game, you have to do it again.

I've never had to do that after reinstalling.

Really? I did not do it on my last reinstall, and I could not update no matter what I tried.:hmmm:

Had to reinstall again, and then I went through the registration and everything worked fine. I have reinstalled several times.

Well now I am pissed and confused:damn: I have reinstalled like 4 times now, and the one time I had this same issue was the time I did not go back through the registration garbage. Oh well:06:

I had also this problem the game was not patched automatically.

The installer adds only rules for the UBI launcher and sh5.exe to my firewall.

I added an outgoing rule for gu.exe and started the game with gu.exe and

and the patch was installed succesfully.
