Has anybody heard any rumours of a new patch? I mean UBI is not saying anything and they could at least let us know if they plan to create another patch or not right?

Ubisoft never even officially announced 1.2 was out. :nope: I wouldn't expect any information from them period, about 1.3's details or even existence.
fixes are just the tip of the iceburg.
Type 9 and 43-45 are still missing.
We need an addon! :dead:

Sadly, I have heard from a number of people in the know that there will not be another Patch. If sales reach a certain amount there might be an add-on, which essentially is a Patch, but it's extremely unlikely. There was a lot of great work done in SH5 and it's a huge shame it wasn't finished .

On the one hand, that is a BIG bummer. However, if there is no patch in the works, and we got good confirmation on that, it would unleash a lot of modders who don't want to work with patches still coming.
Edit: Not that I don't believe you TheGeneral, I am just saying something official would be nice.
If there were anything official, Oscar wouldn't have had to ask the rumor mill for information. It's like asking the air temperature when no one has a thermometer. No one expects an answer which can't be argued with.

Yeah, tell me about it, cause Ubisoft is sporting an awesome track record about keeping us informed.:rotfl2:

You can take my comments for what they are worth which is nothing. I'd have to say that there will be no comments from Ubisoft as to whether there will be anything further for SHIV. I was a Moderator for the SH Forums for quite awhile and if information is available, you'll be the last ones to know. Not even the Forum Managers over at the Ubisoft Forums knew what was going on. Just my take on info for anything new of SH5.
Well if Ubi are done with SHV,
then C.S.O 'SHV Community Salvage Operation' would be an appropriate name for the super mod that attempts to fix everything :)

You can take that to the bank. They just don't get it, do they? Look at companies such as Valve and Bioware - they're very communicative with their customer base. No wonder they're so well loved and have such a rabid fanbase.

I love it. I think that's perfect.

but since when has it been OUR job to fix Ubi's game? I know we have a robust modding community but please...

Gkane, the official "community developer", Ubisoft's mouthpiece for SH5 on their forums, twitter and facebook, essentially hasn't posted a damn thing since the game came out. He's posted one set of patch notes, a "we've delayed it" and a "we won't make it" message edit about the 1.2 patch and nothing else. Absolutely nothing since essentially early April. I'm fully confident he was fired or quit and simply never replaced.
So, we're not gonna get anything official because there is no one official anymore.

In general? Nothing. UBI's chosen form? Plenty! No need to rehash it here as there have been many threads pointing out its' shortcomings and are easily found.

there is a patch.. for the XO :har::har::har:.
An eyepatch sorta speak :yeah:
on a serious note, I dont think ubi is going to drive a tonne more of diesel into this sinking game...
Again, I have trust and good faith in our great mod gurus of this community (which has done a VERY VERY good job on this wreck bringing it back up so far) to continue giving us their astonishing mods, which compensate for our lost bucks and mood on vanilla.
I stand proud to be part of this community and outfit..:salute:

:haha: Nice one!
I think this is the attitude everyone should have. I was a SHIII fanatic, but with my mods on SH5 I have officially switched to playing it. The modders have already done some stuff that I did not even think was possible.
Gimpy117, I am not saying it is our job to fix the game, it was UBI's job not to release a game before it went Beta, but their management has been making some bad decisions(I mean the higher ups, not the devs themselves). What I am saying that is that we don't need to just throw our hands up and walk away from a game that deserves just as much of a chance as we all gave SHIII and SHIV.
Kylania thanks for the heads up on that disturbing piece of info.

Just run a line to a neighbor's house! :O:The next town is even worse, only dialup!:yep:
Addon, Addon? Who would seriously pay for an addon when Ubi sh*te couldn't even release a game that worked properly on release and when a patch was released it didn't fix alot of what we wanted/asked for :nope:!
I for one wouldn't pay for an addon even if it fixed what we wanted now, for 2 reasons. :hmmm:
1. They aren't getting anymore of my hard earned cash, as the patches are shocking with no communication/support (apart from a German Forum).
2. The addon would PROBABLY cause more conflicts and bugs to the original game which they wouldn't be arsed to fix as they cant be arsed to fix the first release of SH5, round in full circle :damn:

I agree I was just making a jab at UBI's management....no offense intended. They should have given the Dev's more time. I just wish we had a better game to start at...

SH5 is the last title I ever buy from Ubi. If the box says Ubi I'll pass. I won't get screwed by them again.

*Cough*
It is from The Treasure of Sierra Madre.
Sorry, but it is my favourite film. I couldn't help myself. :DL
As for the game, rather infuriating if there isn't another patch, even if all I really want is a fix to stop the crew from wriggling around trying to see if they've got a 'Kick Me' sign pinned to their back.
EDIT: Sorry Hornsby, should have spotted your post there! Top You Tube link mate.

No worries, just a couple of Bogart fans falling over each other to correct an injustice! :D
The rest of you sailors should check out that movie (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0040897/) on film night in the forward torpedo room. :yep:

Battlefront is another company that takes very good care of their customers.

It is like the Ubi wont care at all about what their fans think. I did send a bug report to valve about left 4 dead 2 and they responded next day and thanked about the report. I dont know was it just a automated message of somekind but they are even aware that there can be some bugs in the game! I will send a feedback to ubi and see what happens.

And one more. I didn't say anything because I thought there was a joke I wasn't getting.
I love the fact that the line so famous that "everybody knows" is always misquoted.
