There has been much written that is negative about SH5. I have to say that I am really enjoying it and the graphics, particularly that of the sea, are great.
I have a few problems that surely they can sort out.
The first is the irritation of the loading icon of a radar screen in the bottom right hand corner. Ubisoft's logo used to jerk like that with some of their previous games so I am sure they can solve that one.
Heaven knows why saved games have to be kept on the server. There is a little star on the launching screen which on pressing asks if you want to save your games on the server (yes/no) and no matter how many times I press no, I still have to wait while the games on the server are synchronised. Surely once they have checked the integrity of the copy of the game the internet can be left out of this.
My final gripe occurs usually at the most exciting part of the game, when the whole game crashes to the desktop. On reloading I see that a save took place when the internet cut out. Meanwhile I have not been playing on line or wanting to.
Is there a way that these problems can be resolved. It takes such a long time to load the game that it is almost enough to make me join the gripers.
