Shark VS croc

Sitting in the mess me and a few fellow officers had a thought...

Why is subs called Sharks or wolfs.....The shark might come from the way it look and the colour....Wolfpack proberbly comes from the idea of pack hunting.....

The way the sub works are in my opinion way closer to the Croc....

A shark attacks from the deep, where a croc is a just below surface predator.....The shark uses pure sensors where a croc uses both sensors and sight...

A submarine uses the scope to plan and calculate the attack and that is more simulare to how a croc execute its attack....

Crocs roam the surface and use the dive for escaping or to sneak up on the prey...The shark lives strictly under water and prefere to attack from beneeth and to the rear....

So what are subs....a land living animal that hunt in packs..

A predator that lives solely under water...

Or a Ambush specialist that uses stealth to ambush or attack prey...

Crocs don't live in salt water. They are also pretty slow so they prefer to attack animals on shore rather than hunt in the water.

Shark don't attack from the deep, but rather from the same height of his pray. So if you are at surface you will always see his "periscope". He also circle his prey before the attack and plan his move. Croc is more a pervert coward who just wait for suckers to get close enough, the shark is more a fierce hunter.

So croc=fail, shark=win.

Crocs have a purposeful look to them but are somewhat ugly. Sharks are sleek and beautiful, and grey. 'Nuff said.:D

Also anyone that thinks these reptiles are slow have another thing comming. Usually they lay in wait and the wham the attack comes in the blink of an eye from out of nowhere. So in that regard I think Uboats are rather more like a croc.

Of course at the time the average sailor in the Kriegsmarine had no idea what a Crocicile was. Wolves on the other hand were quite familiar.

L.T, that's actually not a bad idea. :hmmm:
I can also add these:
1. Sharks rely on speed and and agility while crocs sloooowly creep up to their prey.
2. Crocs need to surface to replenish their air.
3. If the victim spots a croc, byebye meal. Not only does IT flee, but it scares every morsel in a 1 mile radius. A shark can still chase its prey.
4. Beeing cold blood animals, crocs can't stay too long underwater or they become too lethargic. Sort of a battery discharge, if you get my drift.

One might say that sharks = nuclear subs while crocs = WW2 diesel subs :shucks:

Ah.

I think sharks should be uboats they have there own periscope the dorsel fin.

And to be even worse sharks shead there teeth like uboats shead there torps as the torps could be mistaken for the sharks teeth and the uboats bite:cool:
