Does anyone have personal gameplay experience about
Naval Assault: The Killing Tide?

Graphics, Physics, Realism etc.

I think the game was just released in Europe last week and releases in the US tomorrow however. No official reviews yet but I did find a player's review of it here (http://www.trueachievements.com/gamereviews.aspx?gameid=2378). Hopefully the fact he finds it kinda "slow and boring" will actually mean there is a semblance of realism in there!

Sounds like another person who doesn't know what realism is and if the game doesn't appeal to those people I don't think it's worth much...

I just browsed all the screens and videos I could find on it. It looks very cartoonish, and I think barely qualifies as a simulation, but it seems to be a finished working game that can actually be played out of the box, which means a lot.

I think this may be our future.

Both U-boats and Fleet Boats are modeled and playable!

" Getting underway from New York harbor, Naval Assault: The Killing Tide tells the story of the Allied submariner effort against Axis forces across the key naval warzones of World War II. Players will captain an arsenal of faithfully recreated U.S. Naval submarines against enemy warship assaults both above and below the water's surface. In Naval Assault: The Killing Tide, players will need a dose of stealth and cunning as well as sharp-shooting deck gun and torpedo skills to successfully destroy the enemy fleets in the 30 missions throughout the game."

Yes, I have already read that before I wrote my thread here.
The writer seemed to be a simple achievement-hunter.
He gave a kinda review but what is for sure is he does not like submarine games. Couple of times he refers to the length of the missions. Bird of patience, is he not? :)
I quess no one expects 100% realism on console.
Objective info can be gained but no gameplay videos, other personal reviews at all.
Today is the its official release date.
Should anyone try that, please comment it here.

The first pro-review is in although from the really weird source of Askmen.com (http://www.askmen.com/entertainment/videogame/naval-assault-the-killing-tide.html).

UPDATE: Here is a more detailed slant courtesy of sugarfreegamer.com

overall I'd say it sounds a lot like the old Atari PC title "Steel Tide" released a few years back.

Thanx for the links, Sonarman,
:)

Common in the two reviews:

Sluggish graphics, non-simulation gameplay whilst relatively long missions, annoying music, repetitive sound effects.

One more thing I want to make sure of:

How much is this game left in graphics behind the game Battlestations: Pacific?

However much I wanted to find I did not succeed any gameplay videos on the web besides the many times same official demo.

Should anyone have a REAL gameplay video, link it here.
