Not just any Democratic Senate candidate, either. It’s Richard Blumenthal, current attorney general of Connecticut, whom Chris Dodd made way for by retiring earlier this year. He’s been leading all Republican challengers by upwards of 20 points in the polls and was considered a mortal lock to win the seat in November. Until now.

I hate war service posers almost as much as I hate nazis. :nope:

Disgusting, and a disservice to those vets who did see action :nope:

Hopefully his political career is over. But just to make sure someone should ask to see a copy of his DD 214.

You'd think that a politician, of all people, would know not to lie about something with such a conspicuous paper-trail. And yet, he somehow became an attorney-general!:-?

I hate war service posers almost as much as August hates Nazis, but I occassionally find them amusing. I have to laugh when I meet a guy who claims to be a Marine, and then "doesn't remember" where he went to boot camp, or what units he served with, or where he saw combat (specifically). I just love making them squirm.

I think I should be most disappointed if they were ever to go away, as it would ruin a lot of good fun at the bar. :arrgh!:

If you're going to lie, at least lie about something that can't be traced.

Need to be publicly humiliated. There should be a website where all these losers can have their dishonourable lying made available to the public for the rest of their lives.
