The notorious and formerly funny movie director Woody Allen is apparently frustrated with the cumbersome operations of American democracy too.

Woody Allen was also accused by Mia Farrow of molesting her/their children. IIRC this only came up in their custody battle and never resulted in any criminal charges being filed, and the court ruled that there was no conclusive evidence of any wrongdoing. The judge did comment that Allen's involvement with Farrow's adopted daughter Soon-Yi Previn (which resulted in the Allen/Farrow breakup and subsequent custody dispute over the minor children) was an example very poor judgment on his part. Since Soon-Yi was of an age to consent to the relationship and by all accounts appears to have done so, however, no crime had been committed there either.

AFAIK though Allen has not left the US as a result of all of that (I could well be wrong).
