View Full Version : Getting SH5 in the UK?
I played SH5 at a friend's house for a few hours a while ago and I liked it quite a lot. Now that the new patch is out, I'm finally thinking of buying it. The only problem is, that Steam has dropped SH5 and AC2 from it's store in the UK, so if I find a copy in Game, or a similar store, will Steam recognize it?
Thanks!

Last time I looked it was pretty cheap at Amazon - why are you worried about steam? You can run it on it's own.
Ok couldn't find it at Amazon , but Play has it at under £20

I got my copy from Amazon last week for £19.99, it's still available at Amazon UK and in stock. I just tested adding it to my Steam account for you and it seems to be fine, although because it's non-steam it doesn't give you detailed game information. The Steam Community In-Game feature does work while playing though.
There's no need to have Steam handle auto-patching if that's what you also want because with the new Ubisoft DRM policy, autopatching is done via Ubisoft's system when you run the game.
Play.com have it in, but there are cheaper places to get it. Try looking on billybargain for the best price :D

I found it at Amazon UK with no problem.

Be sure to buy it through the Subsim store, so Neal gets his cut.:sunny:

The cheapest option would be to order off the internet for sure. If you simply must have a copy today the cheapest 'shelf' copy I have seen was in Tesco's!
Thanks for the reply's guys, really helpful stuff. :)
Glad it works in Steam. :salute:
cheers!
