View Full Version : can't maintain depth after 80meters

I had set depth to 110m and speed to 1/3, but the sub kept inching further down. It only corrected once I set speed to full.
Is this realistic modeled behavior, or a bug? I use TDW UI mod, but I don't think that mod affects sub characteristics.
I had a relatively unharmed sum (87% hull integrity)
I'm to beleive it was somewhat accurate, but I'm sure an experienced crew can do better then SH5 does it.
It's annoying is what it is. trying to run deep and silent for any length of time will have you sink into oblivion. Might be affected by your crew's moral... but I've never tested the theory.

Try upgrading your navigatorīs skills. Iīve had the same problem, and after pumping my experience points into the navigatorīs brain (;)) I could finally run at any depth and speed.

problems is if you spend to much points to the navigator the boat crash dives in 3 seconds or so , so i never spend any points on the navigator. Also what i dont understand why these abilty,s are for the navigator. i mean shouldnt teh L.I have these abilety ?

Bad depth control is especially feature on VIIA. It gets much better when you get yourself VIIB type with improved depth controls.

Jeah, of course. I really donīt know why the devs still did not implement a realistic crew system. I mean they obviously had an eye for details, so why didnīt they assign the correct functions (and names) to the respectice crew members. Not to talk about a realistically rotating watch system. This was even better depicted in SH 4.

Just ONE eye. The other one had a patch over it ...

I don't know - everybody was pretty keen on that second patch, and we're all hoping for a couple more.
Sorry, couldn't resist.

I rely on the sea floor to maintain my depth.
