Ok guys. As we all know SH5 in its current state pretty much sucks beyond all belief , but thank god for the MODDERs. He is a list that has improved this game so much for me. Still some bugs and what not , but its now perfect for me and i hope UBI does NOT release another patch for it.

(Nice Graphics Mods as well , install the Enviremental MOd first AND activate it FIRST as well , then activate the mods you download from this site one by one. If there are any conflicts with the mods then dont try to get them to work , it means the enviremental mod has already added a enhancement to a given area. So active all the mods from that website you can , and just leave the ones you cant activate alone , that way you dont miss out on any graphics enhancments , if this is to hard just skip these mods and use the Enviremental by itself :) )

There must be a 1000 of these post but , these mods work well with 1.2 , no issuies and have improved the game GREATLY for me. So please try them out before you give up , and if you are holding off on buying SH5 , dont because these mods fixed 98% of the issuies , and enhanced gameplay a 100 fold.

(Elite Campaign MOD)

This mod has increased the games fun by SO MUCH , the destroyers actually come after you , they do so realistically. No bs with this mod. This has perfected this game. Thank you so much MODDERS! LOVE YOU :)

Also yesterday , i was stalking a convoy , made my pounce on the Convoy in the bottleneck going to Livepool , I engaged the convoy , all the sudden planes come out of no where , and 3 DDs are converging i only got 1 tanker in that convoy , man was i mad , but spent about 45 minutes avoiding the DDs man they were good and i had so much fun. Get this MOD its a must

The single most 'improvement' for me though was moving to 100% realism. I did SH3 with auto TDC, SH4 with Manual TDC but with Map Contacts ON. I have had a month of pain but I finally have the ken for SH5 at 100% realism and it's a totally differnet experience. I spend hours now at 30m depth listening for contacts at 1xTC!,

Along with the mods above this has made SH5 the only game I've played for the last month.

i have tried many times to download the deck gun mod you made from easy share and i cant get it to download can you upload it to the subsim servers so i can download it from there your critical hits for deckgun for patch 1.2 thanks

I didnt make the mod Lare , please post on the critical hits forums page , also if you can download his "Torpedo" critical hit mod as well , its a nice mod as well.

(Lare , i just tried to download the Critical Deckgun Mod , and it worked for me? Im not sure what to tell you :()

ok then how are you downloading it from file share becuase when i go to download it it comes up as 1909610343 as the file name and its says its a file of 11.6 kb when i downlaod it and try to open it with 7 zip it says cannot open as archive can you tell me what im doing wrong or send the file to me thanks

Lare , its a very small file , it was 2.64 KB for me , but if you open up the actual file that says "zone" , you can see everything he changed. Very small file in deed , but works. Torpedo mod is the same way with 6 kbs.


If you cant get the file to work. Ill send you the file im using. Just let me know.

Looks as though your overriding one version with another, really only need the 1.7 version enabled. :)

I took some time away from the game untill today, updated and played without modds for two seconds before plugging in my collection of 52 modds. That is a high number of must have modds, other wise to me the game is broken. Still haven't found a good planes attack modd. Though? Anyone?

Wamphyri's Plane Mod was great for increased plane attacks, but I believe it's not 1.2 compatible. At least I was getting constant corrupted save games while I had it loaded. :( Really hope he gets a chance to update it.

my UIs mod includes the twisty periscope thingies and since it's the main part of MO that's why you already have them.

I think I am going to wait for a good megamod rather than install multiple small mods.

To me SH-V feels way to clunky, I do not like the walking round the sub part. Because of this the whole key configeration to what have grown used to is changed.

What I would like to see is SH III (GWX) / IV style gameplay combind with the visuals and effects of V.

I want to like it as it has a lot of potential under the hood. I just cant get past the pointless aspects and clumsey gameplay..

1) i supouse you are not patched with v1.2 for sh5 (very important to have installed the patch)

2) the really importnat order is from 1 -5 after that you cann enable in the order that you want

3) you use old verison of some mods - try to update them

4) some mods have conflicts when you are enbling them - to much trouble to chose the corect order - if i will be in your place i desable all the mods and install the mega mod MO:

this mod made almoust all the mods that you are using now be compatible betwwen eachother and you miss some importants mods that are included in MO

after that you can ads some mods that you are used before and you realy want to keep them

I just installed the Opus mega mod and it worked flawlessly. Combined with a gramophone mod and the sound fx mods suggest in the Opus Mega mod post, your SH5 won`t be the same.
