Why are we diddling around talking amongst ourselves? We should band together as a pi$$ed off group of consumers & do something to contact somebody at UBI. The Shareholders would be a start in my opinion. This game is a rip off in the fact that they release an unfinished product, expect Subsim to fix it & then look the other way when the release a patch that neither fixes most of the problems & then screws up the mods that have been made. Come on isn't there something or somebody we can band together & fight to?

6-Warrantee Limitation
The User recognises expressly that he uses the Multimedia Product at his own risk.
The Multimedia Product is provided as is. The User is responsible for any costs of repairing and/or correcting the Multimedia Product.
To the extent of what is laid down by the Law, Ubisoft rejects any warrantee relating to the market value of the Multimedia Product, the User's satisfaction or its capacity to perform a specific use.
The User is responsible for all risks connected with lost profit, lost data, errors and lost business or other information as a result of owning or using the Multimedia Product.
As some legislations do not allow for the aforementioned warrantee limitation, it is possible that it does not apply to the User. This is from the Silent Hunter 4 License. I expect something similar to be in 5 (don't know since I didn't buy it yet). Maybe someone can post it so we can have a look. If it's the same, all you can do is noise.
I wonder what are the legislations that not allow such limitation?

There is only one message that gets through. DO NOT BUY THE GAME! Anything else amounts to making sure you close your sub's screen door before you submerge.

You don't know what your talking about Old man.... Be gone from the SH5 forums! Go back to whence you came!

Honestly though, SH5 doesent like you, you dont like SH5, so why are you here? No fleet boats in this forum.....

None of that now... RR has an opinion, he's got just as much right to post here as you do.

He's right, though... I'm sure the Ubisoft exec's care only for profits. Whether they're smart enough to look in the long term, or they're just looking for short term products... well, I fear we already know the answer to that question.

I respected him in SH4, but now see the true person that is RR.

I agree - the game needs work for sure, but it does what it says on the tin.

I said in another thread - I've not seen so much wailing and gnashing of teeth since Lady Diana died.

You think I am pissed off?

I am one of the most happiest Ubisoft customers, no trouble with DRM, crashing, slow FPS. My game rocks, and when I imagine going back to SH4 or SH3, I think it would be a crime against my own humanity.

Check my posts, I have enjoyed modding, playing in wolfpacks, making shots from 4km away with 100% realism.

SH3, SH4 will be less and less played, SH5 will be more and more played. Its a simple fact the old brass of SH3, SH4 refuse to swallow. I think the fleet boat guys are pissed off that they didn't get fleet boats again and decided to rip up SH5 before it was even announced.

My life doesn't revolve around patches, fixes and video game politics, like some of the others here, I just have the luxury of enjoying the forums during my work day.... If I sound angered, well, call it more like annoyed and disappointed. I had a lot of respect for RR in the past, seeing how he goes about business now is a real shame.

SH5 is certainly worth buying......

I propose a new setup for the SH5 forums.

Silent Hunter 3 - 4 - 5
> Silent Hunter 5
>> Silent Hunter 5
>> Mod workshop
>> Multiplayer matchup
>> Ubi sux

Would clean things up nicely:D.

:hmmm:well im up for us all banding together throw a couple of dollars into a pot and sue thier UBI a*se:salute:,,its only right why should they make claims like adding SH4 and SH3 if they do not give us what they said they would , IT WAS UBI THAT PILED THIS CROCK OF SH*T TOGETHER and sold it on, as consumers we do have some rights left, at the end of the day they are a business and stand too lose a lot more than us, if a couple of good lawyers got thier teeth into them :gulp:they will know all about it,I cant see how DRM and a few half-wit developers, can squirm thier way out of it , thier sole intention of making a fast buck on the backs of dedicated submariners and modders of SH3 and SH4,(not too mention sh2 and destroyer command) yes i bought em and played em all i did really like some of them:()1:
BTW if someone buys the game wants to come on this forum and spout off how crap it is, im all ears,:stare: but if you aint bought it,what the hell are you moaning about,:yawn:cos i aint gonna listen to someone who has LOST THE PLOT to a game that they do not own in the first place, thats like trying to get through to the muppets at ubi:damn:

They were Dreamers also.
They got shot down by the very system that was
supposed to protect them.

What World do you live in that could even believe
a lawsuit against Ubi would make it to Court?

The Lawyers would consume most of any funds raised
WAY before it got that far anyway.

Then they'd happily bail!

All of you people with revolutionary thoughts planning to sue UBI should go read the license and especially the Warranty Limitation clause that you implicitly accepted when you installed and played the game.

You'd have better luck banging your head on the table because of the bugs, long enough to require hospitalization so you can have a proof of harm done.

If SH5 were about fleet boats my position would be the same. Treat me like a criminal, leave me to the mercy of a miserly three servers for the world which you can disconnect on a whim without warning, reducing the value of your "game" to that of a defective drink coaster (other game companies have done this), then ask me to trust you?

That's a joke worthy of Jay Leno.

I have supported both U-Boats and Fleet Boats at all times, publishing strategy and targeting tutorials for both. As a matter of fact, all my constant bearing attack methods for fleet boats came from my understanding and appreciation of U-Boat tactics. Don't confuse my historical position that U-Boats were an inappropriate weapon for the Germans to employ in their Atlantic war, which actually contributed measurably to their defeat with a lack of interest and passion for the fascinating machine that was the U-Boat. Nothing could be further from the truth.

I was ready, willing and able to purchase SH5. As I said, the money is still jingling in my pocket. Jingle! Jingle!

A lawsuit would be just plain silly. You knew what you were getting into when you bought this side show. Ubi would tear you apart in court and use you for kitty litter. Anyone who bought the game got what they purchased. A drink coaster. Even if they like the game, I give you even odds that it will become a drink coaster when Ubi unplugs the servers. Unless they downloaded it... Then the game will become wasted hard drive space.

Not me, I'm no leader, Sheesh I haven't even had time to come back and look at the damage I caused till this morning. Looking through the post I see a lot of animosity between some of the people here. I didn't think we should sue but maybe get enough people here to sign a list of request. By enough of us here I meant that there must be somebody that knows somebody that can bring an open line of communication between somebody "& this is the tricky part" someone that even cares a little bit that has some sort of power or influence at UBI connected to SH5. Anybody there that we can communicate to who will keep us out of the dark.
They are not Gods, They can speak, My poo is a nice gold color just like their's is. I just hate being in the dark all the time never knowing "When is the patch coming, What is in it, Will it fix this, Will it break that"
I love this game even though I don't have the time I would like to invest in it as I would like but I when I do have time I would like to just have a folder of data on my computer that when I hit the .EXE file I can just enjoy the game I'm playing instead of having to worry about every thing that is not working.
It seems to me that they put a LOT of time into getting the details into the game & threw it in a box & expected the modders of this community to fix it but how can they when they are in the dark too.
I sense a lot of people that are just about ready to give up on SH5 & I would hate to see that happen.
Last thing I would like to say THANK YOU to the hard work the Modders of this community have put in to this game & all the Silent Hunter games. I wish we could make it easier on you.

Do I go to the SH4 forums and tell people not to buy the game? Do I force my opinions down peoples throats? Do I look for a reason to come post my political BS every time I wake up and read the board?.... no.

What I am saying is RR had a lot of clout here in SH4, now he goes around bashing a game he does not own and tries to influence people on their decisions. He does not know what he is talking about in SH5, that is why and I will ask politely this time "RR, you should stick to the SH4 forums until you own the game and make real judgments on its performance".

SH4 is junk now, that is my opinion , it looks like crap, crashes all the time and I refuse to play it. Now do I post my opinion for every new player looking to play SH4? No I do not.

RR is entitled to his opinion and I am too, I think he is an old man, with no life, that is pissed off about SH5 for one reason or another. The respect he deserves in the SH4 forum is much different than what he should expect here. His posts speak for him.

Because some think it's a total failure, and they can't enjoy it. Others, like yourself, disagree and are having a great time.

That's great! As long as you're happy, that's all you need.:sunny:

No, because they are happy playing a game that they consider more finished, more polished. Right or wrong, they will not love SH5 until it has the features they want.

Not necessarily. There is always a remote chance that a new release will be finished, polished and ready to play right out of the box. Then you won't see any disagreement.
