Hi to all - OK so now we have the patch - downloaded and installed and a bunch of mods

OK so now I begin a new career - so seeign a little challenge I nominate custom and swith on everying - except I keep External view cos I like looking at my sub - try this for yourself you will have a difficulty rating of 96%

So then I go to start a new career, I type my name and off I go - nowq here's the thing - when I press F2 to go have a looksee I cannot do so as my settings have A gone to Realistic wich forbids everything or they have gone to normal wihc means I dont get the level of game play I sellected for when I orinigally set the options, I get map updates which I dont want, and I get stabilied view which I also dont want

In other words you can set the difficulty settings but you might not necassarily get the settings you want whjen you start a career

I might be missing something really obvious but this is really annoying can some one help

I want everything realistic except I want external view because I like to take a look at my sub

Regards
Rascal

You missed my point I do just that- change the settings to realistic - basically swith everything on or off except external view which I keep

I then hit new career start it all up to find I have semi realistic career - ie everying on of off only Map updates in on, and external camera is on

In other words I am foced to play at a more simplistic rate than my orignal request

The options you set in the main menu are for single missions. Each time you start a new career, when you choose easy/medium/hard/very hard it gives you the default difficulty settings for that choice. Change then in the sub pen as sober said. You only need to do this once per career, but you can add in a feature later if you wish to do so.
