Obviously the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing as the UK Ubi SH5 forum manager on that same Friday confirmed the 11th as the release date.

Although I'd be more than happy to wait another week if it meant more fixes to key things like the stadimeter, notepad & AI.

You have got to be kidding me. I wonder how many things they are gonna leave out of the patch this time. Here are the features that sudenly dissapeared when they said they would delay it last time.

•Crewmen on deck change clothes during bad weather
•Shadow optimizations
•Fixed very slow eye light adaptation after a lost device (alt-tab
•SH4 ships can now be imported (useful for modders).
•Improvements in the reward system for U-boats in the dynamic campaign
•Improvements to the AI
•Changes to accommodate RU localization will therefore be present in patch 1.2, but will not affect players in a visible form

cant see those fixes in the current patch list anymore. I guess they were dropped.

I think that the list has changed because information about the Patch has come from different sources. Each of those sources probably didn't have a copy of the latest update and so posted what they had. There is only one way to find out definitively what's included in the Patch and that's when it's installed tomorrow.

After that, the most important news will come from those Modders skilled enough to establish wether or not models from SH4 & SH4 are now able to be imported into SH5 :yep: If that proves to be the case then SH5 will be able to be improved upon by an enormous amount, it'll make GWX look like practice :03:

when i picture a person who plays a sub sim, i picture a person of great patience. the patch delays have been disappointing sure, but its nothing to stew over. i'm just happy we are getting one at all. with all the hate over sh5, i still feel it will become the best sub sim to date. :yeah:

Were any of the lists "official"? I mean most of the info came from a German forum and not even from an UBI employee if I'm correct. Anyone actually see a list from UBI direct?

The German mods always seem to be more on the ball than their US/UK counterparts. I think that'll be the definitive word on release of 1.2, let's hope they have taken the opportunity to squeeze in a couple of extra fixes.

Nearly all of the "fixes" listed were sorted by modders just days after release. These are real issues that need dealing with because only the devs can sort them out.

Seconded. Lack of target variety is the only reason SH5 isn't on my hard drive right now. If that's not fixed, it most likely will never be put back on it.

Same feelings here, they dropped something that`s really crucial for me (more models and better AI = more fun) Luckily, there are some AI mods already. And, like other ppl said, they are fixing 90% of things that are already fixed by modders (maybe torpedo doors, performance tweaks, CO2/crewman and weather saving is meaningful).

It would be a very strange decision to drop those two fixes. I'm putting their exclusion from the list down to miscommunication. I mean, dropping fixes for two of the most complained about aspects of SH5 would be like releasing a WWII subsim that only covers 1939 to 1943.
