One question, waterproof is nice - but do they have built in bouyancy? Otherwise, they fall in the lake - Hurray its waterproof - too bad its 30 feet down in the freakin dark where I'll never find it!

Probably enough air in them to keep them floating, just plastic, a circuit board and some chips.

I was just thinking about these things the other day. I still think they're really cool. Are they available anywhere?

I have an Aquapac (http://www.aquapac.net/) for my cell phone and a waterproof camera. The Aquapac floats even with the phone inside it, I believe, due to the trapped oxygen.

Try yelling "Anblasen," if that doesn't work you're sunk. So to speak. :O:

We were using these or something like them for radios probably 30 years ago for the sailboat races. Even if you dident drop the radio it would still get soaked from spray and rain etc.
Never had one failed.
Oh btw I dont think the OP is actually waterproof to be honest. WTF use would a waterproof USB be anyhow?

I like it, it reminds me of an Alfa or early Victor.

You have to find someone who owns an RC version of this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glomar_Explorer) to go out and recover it... :DL
