That is one hell of a set of pictures about a war that IMHO never got the coverage it should have.

It is the forgotten war.

American's remember that we lost 58,000 people in the Vietnam Conflict which lasted 16 years (57-73) 3,600 deaths per year

In the Korean Conflict we lost 36,000 in only three years. 12,000 deaths per year.

It is a shame that the Korean Conflict is not more commonly remembered.

I noticed back in 2000 marking the 50th anniversary of the start of the war and not a mention on the news, same again in 2003 marking the end of the war. I hope there is some effort made for the 60th anniversary.
