Game crashes on saved game load

Hello!
Today I've encountered a serious problem with SH5.
I was playing Total G campaign and was on the last mission in it. I was attacking a small group of warships firing all 4 tubes, and all four torpedoes... just hung in water after running few tens of meters. That happened before with single shots (I've found out that after firing the same tube after reload on the same target this happens quite often). That was out of my understanding of dud torpedoes so I decided to load. Loading of all my save games resulted in game crushing to desktop without any error messages. Thus I've lost all my progress in the campaign and now I have to replay around 10 patrols...

Is there any way to 'restore' the campaign progress or to fox the saves?

I don't know if this will help, but it seems to have sorted out my corrupt save problem anyway. I noticed that my save file was nearly 500mb. Another game i had called the witcher would also crash alot if this file became too big. What i did is this: Start by selecting load game rather than continue campaign. Now, select the most recent save(which will probably fail to load) and work your way down until you find one that loads succesfully. Now, go into the manual save and delete the corrupt saves and alot of your earlier saves until only 3 or 4 remain. Doing this got my file size down from 500mb down to 27mb and seems to have solve the crash issue for me. I hope this helps you out.

I left only 3 saved games (each folder < 8 MB), it didn't help.
I miss SH3+GWX :cry:
