Umm I checked how much this game is priced today and Amazon listed it at $32.00 and if you can find this game lower than 35 bucks it is well worth the money imo.

I've been playing some multiplayer sessions and it's a lot of fun. I know it may not be that realistic compared to arma 2 so that's why I would only recommend the game if you can find one at lower than $35.00. Or buy a used copy for lower than that even.

It's one of those rare games that succeed in making me to feel fear while in it.

Many times I actually fear for my virtual life in this game and that's a testament that the game is quite immersive.

I played the game without much prior expectation though so I found it to exceed what I expected.

It's Call of Duty mixed with elements of free open roaming and a little bit of realism though I can't believe that modern body armor is that good in RL :nope:.
But the feeling is believable.

Anyway if you can find one at bargain price or knows anyone selling his copy cheap it's not a bad idea to fetch it.

The multiplayer community is still well active.
I wouldn't recommend buying other than PC version though.

Didn't you just make one thread about OFP: DR the other day? And I'm sure if you do a search you can find the old OFP: DR thread aswell. :hmmm:

Umm that other thread I was asking which one is a better game between ARMA 2 and Dragon Rising.

It seemed most would choose ARMA 2 over Dragon Rising but I've found Dragon Rising not to be a bad game so I thought of recommending it in this thread.

I also think so.

I've now changed my mind and now convinced that ArmA 2 is the leader of free roaming infantry combat simulation.

Well not change completely. Dragon Rising is still a good game especially if you consider other level based shooters such as Call Of Duty or Modern Warfare which may not be so bad but offer very limited replayability and degree of freedom but to me ArmA 2 is just the much better one in the two. It's the same with saying if one could afford a Benz who would settle for a Camry?
