After two and half long months at sea....two aircraft carriers, a cruiser, several merchant ships and a bloody long boring fuel starved journey back to Pearl......and nothing, nadda, zip. Not even a well done. Pinned some cheap bit of tin to me chest and told to get on with it.....

2&1/2 months? that is a long patrol... they probably thought you were skiving on hawaii with the hula girls or something :O:

mind you I'm playin uboats and life in the kriegsmarine ain't much better, still I consider it a long patrol if i go more than 6 weeks my fuel & torps never seem to last much longer than that. 1st patrol, 29000 tonnes sunk I get an Iron cross 1st class and a... well nothing. not even a word. no fancy new deck gun/aa gun/experimental radar etc...

If u wanna play kriegsmarine, Operation Monsun by Lurker_hlb3 is the way to go - It's on a par with TMO/RFB whole campaign rewrites, loads more german subs etc... about as realistic as I can tell anyway. OMEGU is the environmental/graphical upgrade its completely non essential and all the extra german stuff is just me being OTT really.

I used to play fleet boats with TMO when I started had a year or so of great escapades that way, but being british the german boats always had more attraction for me. I may swap back sometime soon though, been thinking about it, TMO was immense and I know my way round the game files a bit better now.

P.s. 'stumbling' across 2 ACs? why you lucky lucky.......

Oh, there's plenty nurses in the game, some ports have groups of 30 or more, but usually just a group of gals and a nice band welcoming you.
