us mulitplayers need a new site.. subsim is directed towards single players.. Everything mp here gets thrown in the dirt and talked crud about from this community. you guys do it your way but not everyone likes single player.. if you haven't noticed the future is multiplay. Multiplayer silent hunter community unite. dont support this kinda of dictatorship. get on skype and find us. get on any mp forum and find us.. just find us we are out there. we can build our own sites that cater to us. im sure this post will be removed like everything that is not single player here on subsim and my account banned.. but all my work has been thrown in the dirt by you all anyway so who cares right. dictatorship, dictatorship, dictatorship. :down:

9 out of 10 times there aint nobody else online to play with . And if there is then 9 out of 10 times i cant join because the join button wont let me for some reason.

Still though, when you can arrange ships in a manner that can simulate historical battles, even use fully playable surface ships.
You can have a map that lasts anywhere from 30 min to 6 hours if you so choose.
The whole time you can be coordinating between up to 8 other team mates via teamspeak/vent/skype, as if on radio to form an attack plan.
You don't rush into the center of a japanses attack force.
Maybe you send a sub in center, running deep, flank with the big ships and keep them at range. It really gets to be a lot of fun.
You just need the maps is all.
No one uses ubisoft for multiplayer in sh4, it's such garbage.
We use tunngle or hamachi, mostly tunngle.
I hope sh5 gets into a condition "I" consider to be worth buying, so I can get it already..lol
We have plans for sh5, moving all of our playable surface ships from sh4 to sh5, bringing over the entire wolfpack, making it look nicer. Lot's of plans. :)

I play MP just because I don't like time compression. I like making real time decisions working in a wolfpack. I have no trouble finding people to play with.
I doubt I will ever play the campaign, not my style of play.
And me, I love multiplayers ;] Anyone, anywhere wants to play add me on skype!

:salute:yes multiplayer is the way forward, SH5 has loads of potenial if ubisoft got its act together(just came of call of duty world at war awesome on multiplayer bit mad on times so fast BTW being drunk is no excuse for having my brains shot out by kids, they probably drink more than me aswell,
years ago i used to play silenthunter2 combined with destroyer command used to be a refreshing change ,have a few brews and chill out creep up to convoys nice an slow,im gonna try a go at sh5 multiplayer in a minute i had a few brews so nice change, you welcome to join me any time, i think i can host a game aswell :03:

my brother probably too. but no one plays enough lol. im always sitting in a room by myself waiting XD. im a photographer by trade and only really work the weekends .. id play nothing but silent hunter if i had a good amount of people to play with. get back with me in any form you can. here or at skype and we can figure something out. im currently trying out skype with a few others. hopefully this is the direction we need. :up:. i may sound a bit harsh on subsim and probably am being for that I apologize bad topic manner posted out of a bit of frustration. a lot of multiplayer groups out there have done some messed up things to them and i have been joining all of them it seems (not knowingly) lol. I'm really new to subsim and think my name is being linked to people i really dont want it too be. lots of subsim are friends and they have bulit a pretty solid community here but when friends dont like people from groups then u get backlash. If you had my point of view you might understand my post. lots of you guys do great work and keeping a site running is tough. If you think im the only multiplayer person out there that feels this way then your wrong. this is something i came to finally post today due to the last 2 years of multiplay. id bet anything that the posts in here against me are from singleplayer people only??.. lol. happy hunting.

:hmmm:i would love to play for 2 days but drinking and real life prohibits it, but i can drink for twelve hours on a good day ? am i getting close :salute:
BTW nothing wrong with 1 times tc as long as convoy is within striking distance (tc who needs it .it is ok in campaign fair enough ) cheers

Yikes! My wife would kill me if I pulled a 12 hour SH binge... 2-3 hours is pretty much tops at one sitting (unless its the weekend of course) - Friday is often a very late almost all-nighter as it is!

Each one of those black dots is a player. Lots of 8 hour players right there (though some are TC).
I so wanna play SH in multiplayer, but not as it is now.
The MP is a joke right now, you start with a map where all players are just few km in front of a convoy, everybody start rushing on max speed and unload the torpedoes, in max 10 minutes it's all done. Not to mention that playin MP is almost impossible now when there are tons of mods that handle AI and the sub in very different ways.
Hope that some day SH can be played in a MMO style, or at least with more clever and better maps. This rush &hit style available now is just not fit SH.

I doubt it is a joke just because you don't like it. It seems that there are a few here that do play it and do enjoy it too.
Part of the reason that there is aggro in this forum is the whole "I don't like it therfore it's a joke" mentality.:nope:
Perhaps if we were a little more understanding of each other , and accept that we don't all like the same things - things would be a little easier in here.

A smart pack (which I am in) shares the same mods, has open ended objective in custom maps and we dont go full speed in like morons. Stop complaining; make your own map, make some friends and get playing.

Fair enough, KT got a little too passionate in his OP. I can say he worked damn hard on his texture mod its a great piece of work and we had a great time playing MP lastnight. He is moving away from the site he was promoting and deserves a little reprieve from all the crap being said about him. He is a MP advocate, which we need more of here.
