Hello skippers,

I just got my SH5 from a friend as a gift. Boy, I must admit he really hates my guts to offer this rubbish... Mouse is plain stupid to move...

AI is retarded, and Crew Morale system is the worst...

I dont see any effect from Preheat torp...


I just patched it to 1.01 and still --> Rubbish...

Besides the additional bandwidth I have to endure staying connected to UBi all day long, it's not worth playing...



When Ubi patches to 1.02 it damn better have some decent fixes...

the annoying footsteps mod is not working for me.

I did install JSGME in C:/Ubi/Sh5, Mod folder is in game, I browsed to Annoying footsteps mod mightyfine thingy, and no luck..

Plain retarded flamenco specially when going from aft to bow...

I agree with you, the game out of the box sucks but go to the mod section and you'll find some mindblowing stuff there.

You wont be disappointed...

He should have done his research better (Subsim is one good source)
then he wouldn't have got the game for you :D

You made me curious, how much "additional" bandwith you think you need to play it? Accesing any xxx site require more bandwith than playin SH5 all day long ;) At least that's what I heard :D

LOL, yeah with the exception of loading and saving, I m pretty sure the packets sent back and forth are tiny and its not a constant connection either, it sends every five minutes or so. if you pull the plug, you can usually carry on playing for while before it kicks you.

So bandwith would not be a problem - unless you still use dialup or something.

I just remapped commands.cfg onto the unassigned keys,

now got DUK, weather, but I hate that the controls for torpedo are merely speed, depth and pistol.

What happened to the sophisticated meters and gauges??

I know they are in the conning tower, but helpless... nothing to pull.. no adjustments...

And that ****ing flamenco bug is killing me... It feels like he is walking normally on his soles then he lifts up and the 10 fingers on his leg start to vibrate and chuckle and the result is hydrophone operator on enemy AI gets a weird LALALALALALAAA song from the metal-piggy breeding ;)
